VOCATIONS - RECEIVING THE CALL

visitationflowersJesus said, "Come and see"

I wanted a better relationship with the Lord and a life of prayer and community.

Today I live with 22 other women who are responding to their call. This window offers me a view of relationships with others who are following the Lord.

We pray the Liturgy of the hours four times a day. We pray one hour and a half and do spiritual reading for one half hour also.

The overflow of this activity carries us into our school to teach or counsel or pray with students.

Some Sisters have small prayer groups with adults that meet in our monastery for shared prayer.

Our life in community includes Liturgy of the Eucharist each day and Liturgy of the Hours four times a day together in the chapel. In this way we support the whole Church by praising God. We also have time for contemplative prayer and spiritual reading each day. We have our meals and recreation together.

We also have community duties within the monastery.

We love our life in the Lord!

We identify with Mary and Elizabeth in the mystery of the Visitation of carrying Christ to others in joy and gentle service.

We were founded in 1610 in Annecy France by St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal who believed that holiness could be found in our everyday normal life experiences.

Our motto, Live Jesus, is an invitation and a goal for us each day to be carried out in our thoughts, words and actions through this window of opportunity.
